She quickly responded to our inquiry, took time to learn about our family of 13, and suggested locations that matched our vision of palm trees, white sand, and black lava rock. She even helped with restaurant ideas near our shoot and made everything fun and effortless, especially with our three little granddaughters. We had a sunset beach photoshoot for my 30-person family reunion with people from four different countries, aged 1 through 85, at all different levels of English proficiency, and Christian handled everything like a champ. Christian and her team of Hawaii family photographers are based on the Big Island and specialize in capturing genuine connection, joyful movement, and natural moments that feel true to your family. Before photography became her full-time career, Christian spent years working in childcare and as a professional nanny. That experience gives her a deep understanding of children’s personalities, emotions, and energy levels, helping sessions flow smoothly and naturally. Parents can relax knowing their kids are supported by someone who truly connects with them.

Several days before our photoshoot she took the time to talk to us to get to know our family, help give us tips on choosing outfits, an ideal location, and to make sure she had a good idea of what we wanted. Christian is very outgoing, positive and bubbly… and was the absolute sweetest with our little girl. She even brought cute stuffed animals, bubbles, and music to help engage her in photos. If you feel a little shy or awkward in front of the camera not to worry. She makes you feel very comfortable, just like you’re hanging out with one of your friends.

We LOVED working with Christian! She communicated with us so much about what to expect, outfit suggestions, and asked where we preferred to go with 3 little kids. Christian took us into the mountains near our house for a beautiful, picturesque shoot. She also brought bubbles and was amazing with my 3 girls. They absolutely adored her. Her personality is one of a kind. My husband does not enjoy taking pictures at all. He did not want to go but after it was all said and done and he saw the amazing pictures, his doubts all went away.

We knew we wanted a maternity family session that felt natural and meaningful, and from the very beginning, everything was super easy and organized. She had such creative ideas and little prompts that felt fun and never forced, which made the whole experience feel really comfortable. We decided to add on custom florals for the session, and they turned out even more beautiful than we imagined. Our son had the best time just running around and being himself.

We were only in Hawaii for five days, and due to the weather, we had just a couple of days left on the island for photos.
