Once your session is booked, we will send you our location guide so you can choose the best location based on your preferred backdrop and travel distance.

Each location requires a small travel fee ranging from $30–$100 depending on the location you select and its distance from our photographer’s home base. For custom locations more than 40 miles away, an additional travel fee may be added to your invoice to accommodate the extra distance and drive time.

  • Sunrise (5:30am–6:45am) – Sunrise sessions begin about 15 minutes before sunrise, when the light is soft and beautiful. Beaches are typically quiet and peaceful, making this a wonderful option for couples looking for a romantic setting or families who want a more private experience.
  • Morning (7am–10am) – Morning sessions offer beautiful lighting until around 9:00 am before the sun becomes a bit harsher. This timeframe is a great option for families who prefer a slightly later start while still enjoying bright, natural light.
  • Afternoon (12pm–4pm) – Afternoon sessions take place during brighter midday light. While the lighting isn’t as soft as sunrise or sunset, it can still be a great option if you need flexibility in your schedule or are planning around naps or sleep schedules.
  • Sunset (5pm–7pm) – For sunset sessions, we schedule the end time right at sunset so we have plenty of time to capture all of your photo combinations and finish with a beautiful sunset. This is one of the most popular times for photography in Hawaii thanks to the warm golden light and colorful skies.

If it’s not possible for a session to take place on our scheduled day due to weather conditions, we’ll contact you within a few hours before your session to suggest an alternate location, or we’ll reschedule on an agreed date at the earliest possible date with no additional charge.

If we’re unable to reschedule your session due to limited availability, you’re welcome to cancel for a 50% refund, or we can apply 100% of your session fee as a credit toward a future shoot if you’d prefer not to cancel.

Cancellations

You may cancel your session up to 30 days prior to your scheduled session date. All deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your session date and compensate for the loss of other bookings.

If the session has been paid in full, a 50% refund of the total session fee will be issued. If you prefer not to cancel, we are happy to apply 100% of your payment as a credit toward a future session.

Rescheduling Fees

If you wish to reschedule the session, you must notify us within seventy-two (72) hours before your session date by email or phone number and include a few potential dates for us to compare to our calendar. You will also be charged a $99 rescheduling fee to compensate for the loss of time and working with other clients. Rescheduled sessions are only valid after you’ve paid the rescheduling fee.

Your photos will be recolored and lightly retouched (including skin smoothing and teeth whitening) and delivered to you through our online gallery viewing software within 2 weeks of your session.

Need your photos sooner? We’re happy to move your gallery to the front of our editing queue with a 3-day rush gallery fee.

After your session, you’ll receive an online gallery with approximately 100+ photos to view and share with loved ones. Depending on the package you booked, you’ll be able to select a set number of images to download, with the option to purchase additional favorites if you’d like more.

When your online gallery is delivered, you can choose from several additional image bundles or upgrade to the full gallery for $250.

Yes! We love being part of your entire experience. We’re well-versed in frames, albums, and heirlooms.

Once you receive your gallery, you’ll have the option to purchase prints, albums, frames, and other heirlooms directly through our trusted print partners, all from within your gallery.

After booking your session, you’ll receive an email with access to your Client Lounge, where you’ll find helpful resources to prepare for your session, including color palettes and wardrobe inspiration for everyone.

For beach sessions, shoes aren’t a concern. Sandals work great, and going barefoot is often best for photos. As we move around to different spots, you’ll want sandals that are easy to slip on and off.

We recommend bringing water, snacks (for kids), a towel, and a change of clothes for everyone, just in case we get a little wet and you’d like to freshen up afterward.

If you have dinner plans right after your session, don’t worry, we’ll keep things dry so you won’t need to change.
